Imperial Internal Circlips: The most common form of axially fitted circlips for bores with pre-machined grooves.
These clips serve as retainers for items such as bearings where it may be impractical to create a dedicated machined step to locate them, either as a result of a design constraint or just down to cost. The circlip has a large free diameter and gap width, consequently, it fits more tightly into the groove and provides higher and more uniform thrust load capability.
