Chainsaw Sharpener: Prolonging the life of your chain has never been easier by sharpening your chains cutting edges periodically with our sharpening tool. Sharp chains ensure safe and clean cuts and rapid material removal and is suitable for use on all electric, battery and petrol powered chainsaws using a 5/32" chain. Sharpening is a matter of making the machine safe (in the case of battery and mains powered chainsaws disconnect the power source and make sure petrol machines are off and cold to reduce the risk of burns from hot engine parts), then mount the chain bar in a vice if possible and file the cutting teeth in the same direction as the angle of their orientation, a few strokes on each tooth will bring a dull chain back to life.
